These book covers tackle the challenge of creating a design system across a series. These 3 books, Contact by Carl Sagan, Einstein's Dreams by Alan Lightman and The Time Travelers Wife by Audrey Niffenegger all have similar themes of time, space and science. So the system put in place was to use a background of a night sky, to bridge them all, symbols that are specific to the book. and the Title and author on a band, in the right hand-side of the cover. This gives them all a sense that they all go together but still have variety in their designs.
